Our client is one of the world’s leading secondary private equity investors. With a global reach and large amount of capital under management, they are looking for a talented associate to join the London team
As an associate you will be responsible for all aspects of sourcing and executing investments alongside the world’s leading sponsor groups. You will be responsible for evaluating and conducting due diligence on buyout, venture capital and mezzanine partnership interests for potential purchase; projecting future values of underlying portfolio companies; extensive financial modelling; assisting in preparation of materials to be reviewed by the Investment Committee; supporting Investor Relations activities; working with legal counsel and other professionals to execute secondary transactions; responsibility for coverage of select sponsor relationships, including attending annual investor meetings for the underlying partnerships; monitoring existing portfolio of private equity funds; supporting deal sourcing initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience within an M&A team of a leading investment bank, private equity firm or hedge fund. Recently graduated MBA candidates with a background in top tier consulting may also be considered. You must be technically strong and demonstrate a proven track record. Excellent communication skills are essential with the ability to liaise at the highest level among leading private equity firms. Fluent French or German would be an additional benefit, though not essential.
